Mall del Norte first opened its doors to the public in July 1977 with tenants such as Hachar, Sears and Joe Brand. “The Mall” as it is affectionately called by Laredo locals, has evolved considerably over the last 40 years, but a few of those original staples still remain.

To celebrate this momentous occasion, Mall del Norte will hold a 70's themed 40th Anniversary Celebration on Friday, August 25, 2017, from 4-9 pm. Show us your 70’s style and enjoy a dance, photo back drop, face painting, dance and music performances, giveaways, community cookie cake from Great American Cookie Co. (while supplies last), and a Fashion Show at 6 pm in Macy's Court

We invite our local media to the media event on August 25, 2017, at 9:30 am in Macy’s Court. Mall management, Laredo dignitaries, retailers and our nonprofit partners will speak.
