3rd Annual Super Shredder Day
In 2015, KGNS TV and our family of stations:
NBC-KGNS, ABC LAREDO, TELEMUNDO LAREDO, CBS LAREDO , CW-LAREDO hosted the 1st
Annual Super Shredder campaign in an effort to educate and advocate Laredo; and
surrounding communities about protecting consumer privacy. The campaign
culminated with a Shredder Day resulting in the shredding of over 20,000 pounds
of documents. Shredding has become a matter of privacy protection and
safety. This year we will host the 3rd Annual SHRED FOR HUNGER- Super
Shredder Day with a continued community benefit. This year we
will, again, shred for privacy and to benefit the South Texas Food Bank.
Citizens will be encouraged to drive thru with their PERSONAL documents and can
shred up to 50 pounds of personal documents at no charge. An opportunity
to give a free will donation to the South Texas Food Bank will be made
available on site.
