After 10 years of classic rock and R&B sounds, the South Texas Food Bank Board decided to change the sound of their staple fundraiser event, Empty Bowls XI, which is set to take place at the Laredo Energy Arena on Friday, August 18, 2017. This year’s band will be the Tex-Mex Power Rock trio, Los Lonely Boys.
The South Texas Food Bank’s Empty Bowls has aimed to both create awareness about the realities of hunger and to celebrate the generosity of those individuals, businesses and organizations that have impacted and furthered the food bank’s mission of feeding the hungry in South Texas.
The event includes: a dinner, a benefit concert and a silent auction featuring artworks from both local and regional artists.
Sponsorship tables of 10 that include dinner and access to silent auction items are available. There are different levels of sponsorship available: Diamond $20,000, Platinum $10,000, Gold $5,000, Silver $2,500 and Bronze $1,500. Individual table tickets are $150. Table Tickets are available at the South Texas Food Bank office located at 1907 Freight at Riverside.
Concert only tickets are $10, $15 and $25. Tickets will are available at the LEA Box office, Ticketmaster.com, Select Ticketmaster outlets or charge by phone at 1-800-745-3000.
