Strategy for the Workforce
The conference will feature keynote speakers, seminars in cyber defense, and will include breakfast and a luncheon. The purpose of the conference is to create an awareness for the necessity of implementing effective cyber defense practices throughout the community. The conference will also serve to promote employment opportunities in the field, educational pathways, collaboration initiatives, and to create networking channels between industry, education, law enforcement, and governmental entities. The conference will also announce the creation of a Cybersecurity Institute. The Institute will serve as an extension of LCC’s Network & Cybersecurity AAS program. The Institute will be the first of its kind in the Laredo region. It will consist of two state-of-the-art labs intended for sophisticated cyber technology research involving all realms of the Internet.
